The course introduces students the basics, principles, and methods of statistics, both descriptive and inferential, with the aid of a statistical analysis software. Students will learn about frequency distribution and various methods for graphical representation. The scientific method of hypothesis testing will be emphasized together with the preferred way of organising and reporting the statistical results. The course covers measures of central tendency, measure of variability, correlations, t-test, ANOVA, regression, and basic non-parametric tests.
